This is a great example of Mass Communication at work durring WWII. This is FDR making a nationwide speech on the war effort in 1943.

FDR's "fireside chats" were very important to the American community during wartimes. His great use of the radio unified the country and helped get his point across an entire nation.

Are we allowed to do stuff on our blog that happened during world war II. I thought they were supposed to be anything up to World War II.

Harsh Areeb (12:44 PM). I like pretty pictures. In a way you are mass communicating just by putting that picture in your blog!

How was FDR's speech conveyed nation-wide? Did they use radio or telegraph or what? What was his speech about? What did FDR think about mass communication? And wow, his podium looks similar to ones used by bush today.
